Each one of us is consciously (and unconsciously) attempting to \u201crecreate\u201d in our psycho-emotional system a certain set of emotional states.<\/p>\n
These \u2018emotional states\u2019 are already familiar to us. Because they are familiar to us, we have already been \u201ctrained\u201d to enjoy them.<\/p>\n
What is the \u201ccontent\u201d of these emotional states?<\/em><\/p>\n The most important element or ingredient in these emotional states is the \u201cchallenge-response dynamic\u201d. Man thrives on this \u2018challenge-response dynamic\u2019.<\/p>\n Between challenge & response lies the state of pure ‘being’ & ‘becoming’ which is supremely joy producing to man. The goal is to embracethese challenge-response cycles such that enduring states of joy produced by the \u201csolution\u201d are permanent and complete.<\/p>\n This is the joy of entrepreneurship, of adventure, of achievement, conquering, creating, developing, designing, and making happen.<\/p>\n The fear or uncertainty that accompanies this challenge-response cycle is mere \u201csymptom\u201d of the possibility of \u201cfailure\u201d.<\/p>\n Is \u201cfailure\u201d possible in a challenge-response cycle? The answer is no \u2013 failure does not exist because a challenge-response dynamic is \u201chypothesis\u201d- a call, a test-run. If it succeeds, we are home. If it fails we try again, failing which we shall operate at one stage lower till we develop the strength to operate here.<\/p>\n What do challenge-response dynamics accomplish?<\/em><\/p>\n Most important, they rent open, as it were, the fabric of \u201ccomfort and safety\u201d born of misplaced faith in the material. Each time this fabric is torn apart, a greater faith in that beyond is born \u2013 faith in the Consciousness that is beyond all challenge-response dynamics.
