{"id":353,"date":"2013-02-08T07:20:24","date_gmt":"2013-02-08T01:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/srinivasv.com\/?p=353"},"modified":"2017-08-27T17:07:57","modified_gmt":"2017-08-27T11:37:57","slug":"the-innovation-mind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/srinivasv.com\/mapsofbecoming\/the-innovation-mind\/","title":{"rendered":"The Innovation Mind"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"romanfirst\">I<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Innovation implies<br \/>\na new state of things,<br \/>\na new configuration of variables,<br \/>\na new model of action embodied perhaps in a tool, an approach, a construct.<\/p>\n<p class=\"roman\">II<\/p>\n<p class=\"hp\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Where is innovation born?<\/p>\n<p class=\"hp\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the strange nether place\u00a0of the unknown?<br \/>\nThrough a simple clash\u00a0of frames of reference?<br \/>\nOr in some other place?<\/p>\n<p class=\"roman\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">III<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Can it be that\u00a0innovation is actually born\u00a0of a desire to \u201cworship\u201d<br \/>\n\u2212 attention in the highest sense\u00a0of the word?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Can it be that\u00a0by simply attending to a problem,\u00a0wholly and uninterruptedly,<br \/>\na new state of being\u00a0comes into place?<\/p>\n<p class=\"roman\">IV<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Is this \u201cattending to\u201d a mind-state<br \/>\nNot born of historical\u00a0frames of reference,\u00a0nor of a mystical unknown.<br \/>\nBut of an organization\u00a0of the mind-energy\u00a0to a new locus of concern?<\/p>\n<p class=\"roman\">V<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Can this &#8220;attending to&#8221; mind-state be reached<br \/>\nNot necessarily by replication<br \/>\nBut by carefully orchestrated inquiry?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Can this inquiry result\u00a0in a new frame of reference<br \/>\nThat keeps the innovation\u00a0at the center<br \/>\nThat is perceived such that everyone else too can also see that frame<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And say &#8220;I too could think of that&#8221;, if not globally, at least locally in my context?<\/p>\n<p class=\"roman\">VI<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Can we, in short, replicate the mind-state that created an innovation rather than the specific innovation itself?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Where is innovation born?
