There may be philosophical quarrels about the ideas that the great role model leaders of society  like Abraham Lincoln, stood for. But never about the human beings involved – they were men and women of character. Whether they succeeded or failed doesn’t matter. They were human beings who could give their all for an ideal they pursued.

Thus, to live a great life, you live for an ideal. Live the life, and both principle and precept follow.

Reality is living. Reality is not a static thing. Reality changes from morning to evening – markets shift, people shift, meetings shift, glaciers shift… but what has not shifted is your purpose. Your sense of dedication to an ideal. Your choice to walk the journey to truth, whatever be the cost.

It is such choices that create role-model leaders in society.
